About The SpeakLove Project

Hello and Welcome to The SpeakLove Project!

My name is Kioshana LaCount and I am the founder of this awesome organization.  I am a native of Gadsden, AL, although I currently live in the much colder MidWest.  By day I am work as a career coach for at risk youth and young adults and by night I am a writer and a dreamer.  However, I am always a huge proponent of women and any causes that affect us.

I started The SpeakLove Project because I have  passion for empowering women.  So many times throughout the day, I  am bombarded with images and messages that tell women that we are not enough – good enough, smart enough, pretty enough, etc. That type of rhetoric is exhausting and discouraging, and yet the world is relentless in repeating these messages to us on a daily basis.

The SpeakLove Project serves as a safe space where women can work together and celebrate and support one another.  Through this project, I endeavor to inspire our sisters to recognize all of the love and light that shines within each of us, and to build on our many innate talents so that we can be the very best versions of ourselves, both individually and as a collective whole.

SpeakLove focuses on fostering holistic self-care  and personal/professional development to promote the overall well-being of women within the online and off-line communities.

Thank you for stopping by – I hope that you enjoy your time here and that you’ll return again soon!  Feel free to reach out to me at thespeakloveproject@gmail.com with any inquiries – I would love to hear from you!
